I Love You F.O.H
I love you, Frank O'Hara, poet of the New York School, curator of abstract art, how did you find so much to be passionate about?
I love your poem about why you aren't a painter -- so you could write a poem about oranges and leave them out.
And Mayakovsky, Stalin's pet. Because of you I read his poem about the cloud in trousers, the choir in his heart.
I love your poem to your lover, "Having a Coke With You," how that's better than Biarritz or anything in the world.
To have a Coke with you in Biarritz would be superb, except it wouldn't have to be a Coke, or Biarritz, or you. I just mean that feeling of love.

Mark Liopwicz:
I grew up in Chicago, Illinois, studied engineering and business, and
work in business publishing in New York City. My poems have appeared
recently in Rattle, Tryst, Pebble Lake Review and elsewhere, and others are upcoming in Pacific Review and Red Rock Review. For me, poems open a window to appreciating experience, whether real or imagined. email: Mark Lipowicz
